Wow, we just had a nice dust-up on this. I believe NetworkManger will work if you get out of its way. I was a big complainer on this, but now I'm persuaded. Probably you need to turn off wpa_supplicant and network services, and so only NetworkManager is running. There are command line tools chkconfig for that, or the program system-config-services can do it. Then in the session, run the "nm-applet" program, you get there from a pull down menu if you want, look under Internet-> network control. -- Paul E.
