You *might* have problems with the F8 GA graphical installer. Either
install in text mode, or use a more recent Fedora Unity respin of F8.

What is the Fedora Unity respin and where can I get it? Will this respin
allow me to install kde ?
It's just an updated version of the normal installation DVD with newer
packages, including better support for some nvidia cards. Get it at
fedoraunity.org. It has KDE on it.
