"Just sits there" -- do you mean that the program does not exit at all
(so you get no bash prompt back), or that it exits with no output?

It would be great if you could file a bug report about this.  Go to
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla and follow the instructions.
Choose 'bluez-utils' for the component.
