I've been trying it for several months. For example, mirror.steadfast.net is "fastest" when updating our office. It's only a couple of hops away down AT&T's wire. The download speeds from that mirror, however, are horrible. I've seen yum estimate about 5 minutes per MB. (We connect via DS3.) When I turn off fastestmirror, downloads come from other mirrors at what I consider ~ normal speeds. - -- ~ Steve -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHvC5UeERILVgMyvARAqJbAJ9Xhyz0CwZijRTJeUGT7GRaSCKYyQCeLwU/ H5PXSscuf4EZHJhQre32RjY= =67sf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
