Saw the same thing last night, and it's still happening now: Transaction Check Error: file /lib/modules/2.6.23.14-64.fc7/extra/nvidia/nvidia.ko from install of kmod-nvidia-169.09-3.2.6.23.14_64.fc7 conflicts with file from package kmod-nvidia-169.07-2.2.6.23.14_64.fc7 I wonder if the - versus the _ in the filenames is the issue? I seem to recall reading about this update conflict problem on the CentOS list (I can't quite remember where I read about it, but I think it was there). And I seem to recall a workaround being to manually remove the last update, then do this one, or just wait for the issue to be repaired. As you may guess, from my not remembering it precisely, I've left resolving it for the moment. I'm excluding nvidia from updates for the next few days. -- (This computer runs FC7, my others run FC4, FC5 & FC6, in case that's important to the thread.)
