again, I like to ensure some details and WINS is primary methodology of
Windows BIOS name resolution.

You can easily test name resolution from your FC5 system by typing...

smbclient -L BIOS_NAME_OF_NEW_SYSTEM

and see if it finds the system via the name resolution
