Even on things it will play, e.g. wmv files,
it won't give me a control panel.
gmplayer

Thanks, that worked.

Now does anyone know how to play realvideo?

What happens if you type....

mplayer http://www.kozt.com/koztlive.ram

I get the feeling you may be missing avisynth.dll and will get a message say as much....

After searching in vain for avisynth.dll I have since found that if you use:

mplayer -playlist http://www.kozt.com/koztlive.ram

It will work just fine.......

Give it a try....
