Whats the proper dev syntax for wodim?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I recently updated from Fedora 5 to Fedora 8 and my old cd drive dev
specifications no longer work.

Running wodim -scanbus returns
scsibus1:
        1,0,0 100) 'Memorex ' 'DVD16+/-DL4RWlD2' 'JWS5' Removable CD-ROM
        1,1,0 101) *
        .<snip>

I have tried dev=ATAPI:1,0,0 and dev=ATA:1,0,0 and dev=1,0,0 as both
a regular user and also as root. Each time wodim spews tons of
complaints along the lines of

".... Trying to map to old ATA syntax. This workaround will disappear
in the near future. Fix your configuration.Unable to open this SCSI
ID. ...."

Thanks
