No. Not everything was rebuilt just to change the name. Those that did
not need to be were not. Look more closely. There are also .fc6 packages
in there.

Yes. It is ok. Look more closely at your install and you might also find
.fc6 packages there. It depends on what you installed. You will find
them, of course, in FC8 everything also.

It is the same for both i386 and X86_64.
