Doing quick math with the oldest (May 2007) vs the newest (Dec 2007)
we see that the combined Windows market share
(ME/98/NT/2000/2003//XP/Vista) went from 93.41% to 91.48%. Linux went
from 1.25% to 1.77%. Mac has OS X and Power PC listed (although
PowerPC less than 1/10 of 1% in both cases). So for OS X they went
from 3.85% to 4.56%. The combined gain of Linux & OS X is 1.23% for
that period while the combined decline of Windows system is 1.93. So
there is 0.7% loss from Windows that went somewhere other than Linux
or OS X (BSD perhaps?).
