I wouldn't use Fedora for a server in that case, I'd use CentOS (if you want something free) for the server, and Fedora for your clients (if you prefer Fedora). If you're using a server in the way you should use a server (it's a server untouched by users, you don't also use it as a workstation) it doesn't need much software.
