How much memory on the card? what is your monitor capable of? different graphic card / monitor combos can drive different resolutions. only the appropriate ones for your system are likely to be in your xorg.conf file. Please don't assume that you are always 100% right. If you don't know, then please say so (or don't respond). This post is misleading.
