There is an infinitely long bugzilla about libxcb and the foolish
asserts they added to it. At the moment, while waiting for an
official fix, I enabled the development repo and updated libxcb
from it, then set the environment variable LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK="1"

(This breaks lots of code, not just java).
