	I think you missed a detail (emphasized above). But I tried it, 
and sure enough : 

Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
Package xscreensaver-extras - 1:5.04-1.fc8.i386 is already installed.
Package xscreensaver-gl-extras - 1:5.04-1.fc8.i386 is already installed.
Package xscreensaver-gl-base - 1:5.04-1.fc8.i386 is already installed.
Nothing to do
[root@localhost ~]#

	So, having established that, what next?
