Without diggin too deeply, I think it looks like something I've seen when I have bitmap fonts enabled. I usually disable those by going to /etc/fonts/conf.d and making a symlink to ../conf.avail/70-no-bitmaps.conf. Looking at the page in Firefox, I have nice, smooth edges to the fonts on the left. And I am only using the stock freetype from Fedora. http://tmz.fedorapeople.org/codinghorror-linux.png -- Todd OpenPGP -> KeyID: 0xBEAF0CE3 | URL: www.pobox.com/~tmz/pgp ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It is better to weep with wise men than to laugh with fools. -- Spanish Proverb
