If you live in a place where that's legally possible, you're fine (and lucky!). On the other hand, Codeina provides the hooks to allow those living in less enlightened parts of the world to easily get a supported, working, legal set of codecs to use on Fedora (although I did notice the current fluendo codecs need a bunch of textrels.. grr!).
