Hi, I have a Thinkpad T43 and just purchased a new ThinkVision monitor. All works find out of the box if I startx in the root account. But if I do the same thing with a normal user account the resolution is not put to the native resolution (1600x1200). If I try to set it via the display config tool, and restart X server I cannot login anymore. And when I reboot the computer, the lower resolution is back in the settings. It feels like that the user don't have permissions to setup its display preference. But I don't know where to start to look. Any hints why root can get proper display settings but not a normal user. /Peter -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
