I know you mentioned in another reply to your original post that it was working and performing a lot faster. But what I want to mention, is you could do this as well.. 1 - Setup dnsmasq on one of your machines, mainly a server type or something? 2 - Setup your other machines to point to that one machine running dnsmasq, as the dns server. 3 - May not need to do this, but I also put the ips/hostnames in the one machine that is running dnsmasq, which will also let the other machines perform local dns'ing a lot faster, especially if your internet goes down. Ways I do it above might not be correct, but that is how I been doing it for the last few years when I first needed something like this and learned about dnsmasq at the time.
