Hi list
I got a problem while installing a rpm which needs exactly python 2.4
under Fedora 7, when the currently installed python version is 2.5.
- Is there a possibility to “yum downgrade python 2.5 to
python 2.4 ?
o and how ?
o and how to prevent any further upgrade to 2.5 ?
- Is it possible to have the two versions 2.4 and 2.5
installed at the same time ?
o and how ?
Cheers
I have the same problem. I don't think yum will tolerate two versions
but using rpm itself it is probably possible (at least I think it is)

I had this problem,it was caused by dependencies, I downloaded them and it
fixed the problem. As for installing Python 2.4,it will not work as there
are to many
dependencies (30 +) to install [dependency hell]
