After I got the test3 install done, before doing anything else I changed
the you config to keep things in the cache after install or upgrade.
This lets me avoid pulling them more than once. Didn't work, nothing
left in cache after big 400+ package upgrade.
Several days later... did another update, everything in /var/cache/yum
as desired, didn't change a thing... WTF? Anyone have an idea why the
first batch didn't get kept?
Strongly related: I eventually wind up with many copies of versions of
rpms and related in the cache directory. Is there some inobvious option
to release all but the latest version? I found out several ways to
release everything, that's obviously not what I want.
