been a while since i use linux and i love it already, just need to help me get this working, i appreciate it, how do i enable the emulator, i have the console cable hooked up to the switch, how do i start the emulator from the command line or gui .

Well, you know the device is on ttyUSB0, so it should be a matter of firing up minicom and configuring it to use ttyUSB0 for the correct settings for the device (I think for Cisco it's 9600,8N1).
