Mouse and keybord stops working with F8

Hi All.

I've just installed Fedora 8 and I see a very annoying problem: the keyboard and mouse stops working after few minutes from boot. The system is still running (can login from network, get notifications from applications, etc.) just the keboard and mouse are dead.

The PC is an Athlon64 3500+ on an ASUS A8VE-Deluxe motherboard. Keyboard and mouse are PS/2 devices, they were working perfectly since FC4. I'm using the same xorg.conf I was using with F7, but it happened also with the default configuration created by the setup so I don't think it is a configuration problem.

The logs doesn't say anything about this problem, or at least I don't see anything in /var/log/messages or /var/log/Xorg.0.log.

I've connected an USB wireless keyboard+mouse and seems to be working well now. Seems that F7 doesn't like PS/2 devices.

Any hint of what may be wrong or where to look for a solution ?

Regards,
Marco
