It cannot be said often enough: it does not matter what files you find
in your local file-system. All that matters is whether the needed
things can be found in the RPM database and/or the repository metadata
and that they are not erased during an update transaction.

Verify the first step with "yum whatprovides ..." or "repoquery
--whatprovides ...".

Also show what versions of openssl are installed already:

  rpm -q openssl --qf %{n}-%{v}-%{r}.%{arch}\\n

Could come from the skip-broken plugin.

What do you exclude?

> --> Processing Dependency: libkrb5.so.3 for package: openssl

These are i386 dependencies, not x86_64 dependencies.
