Forgive me, I'm kind of firing on a few less cylinders than normal.
=-/ it would probably be of some use for you (if selinux is
enabled, meaning in enforcing mode) for you to run that command
with the proper library. I run OpenOffice 2.3 so the library
version may be different for you. Of course, if selinux is in
permissive mode then that is not what is keeping OpenOffice from
running and you can completely ignore my mail.

You may also want to yum install the SELinux Troubleshooter to see
if SELinux is complaining about OpenOffice when you attempt to run
it.
