the option doesn't change anything. I try to install a x86_64 version.

if the storage mechanism is similar to the Optiplex 320, you should be
able to find a bunch of things in bugzilla about that.

try appending at boot...

linux pci=nomsi

I would suggest that you try the x86_64 as I have clearly had better
success with that (no need to append pci=nomsi) but I still have to use
LILO instead of grub on the Optiplex 320
