Once you have executed your java bin file and it has unpacked the files then look into directory: path_to_java/jre1.6.0_03/plugin/i386/ns7 you should see a file called libjavaplugin_oji.so I assume it would be something similar on the amd64 version? If so and you want to use this in firefox then in the directory: /usr/lib/firefox-2.0.0.5/plugins/ add a symlink to the above file keeping the name the same - when you restart firefox it will have the new jre in use which you can check with about :plugins This is what I do on 32 bit machines - so i guess it should work the same way on 64bit? -- This is an email sent via The Fedora Community Portal https://fcp.surfsite.org https://fcp.surfsite.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=209242&topic_id=45559&forum=10#forumpost209242 If you think, this is spam, please report this to webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and/or blame mdc1@xxxxxxxxxxx -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
