Understood -- but then it's not right to say "Lacie Mobile driver is
unknown to Fedora", it's completely willing to work with it as far as
that goes.

It seems some other piece of the puzzle is not willing to recognize it,
apparently.  Does a USB flash drive bring up the UI stuff?
