Both Java JAR files and OpenOffice.org files are files packed in a ZIP archive. The filetyping scheme is too dumb to tell them apart, and claims that they're whatever it thinks a ZIP file is. You can try flip flopping the default over to it thinking all such files are OpenOffice.org files, by right-clicking, opening the properties, and changing the open-with program. But then you'll have the reverse problem, but if you never double-click JAR files, or ZIP files, that won't matter to you. -- (This box runs FC5, my others run FC4 & FC6, in case that's important to the thread.)
