I have a "Multi-Seat" system setup at home on Fedora 7. I use X's evdev input driver and the -sharevts -novtswitch options for X. I've found that after enabling Multi-Seat, I cannot play DVDs, on either terminal. When I insert the DVD, I get the following error message: Cannot mount volume. Error org.freedesktop.Hal.PermissionDenied. Details Permission denied: Not in active session I thought this might be an issue with ConsoleKit. ck-list-sessions reports the session is not active. I tried disabling ConsoleKit (chkconfig ConsoleKit off), and rebooting, but I still get the same error when I insert the DVD. I understand that ConsoleKit doesn't really support MultiSeat yet, so maybe I'm just stuck. But maybe, is there a way to configure HAL to allow all users access to the DVD?
