looking back on your original question, you asked about FLV and SWF
which require Adobe's flash player and not mplayer.

The way I installed flash player was to download it from Adobe.com
website

then install it with...

rpm -ivh flash-plugin-9.0.48.0-release*

then run the program...

/usr/lib/flash-plugin/setup
or manually...
ln -s /usr/lib/flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

restart firefox...good to go

There may be an easier way that I don't know
