Should we take a poll on how many people want their machines to be
unbootable after an update?
I can't say that I've experienced that, and I've been using Linux for
quite a few years, now. I can say that I've seen some showstoppers when
some driver has been updated on Windows, and reverting that can be quite
a nightmare.
Unfortunately it does happen. A recent example on one of our machines
is at:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=249853
No recent kernels are bootable. Having provided all the debugging info
I can it seems that this is too much of a corner case to grab anyones
attention. However, it's a machine which will have to move off Fedora
come F8.
I have to say that my experience with bugzilla has not been great.
Quite a few bugs reported and followed up. Very few fixed.
Simon.
