Tried again with -v and it appears to be choking on:
/sys/module/nousb/parameters

[root@skyhawk parameters]# ll
total 0

[root@skyhawk parameters]#
What can I do about this? FC6, by the way.
I added /sys/module/nousb to PRUNEPATHS variable in /etc/updatedb.conf.
