Unless you are compiling from source, you will not need devel
packages. They are normally the header files needed to link to the
associated libraries. I can not picture you needing the
xorg-x11-drv-i810-devel-2.1.1-3.fc8.i386.rpm package.

I cannot picture me even trying to do something with source. :)

Off to try this... instead of preparing for having all the second grade parents over for a school year kick-off party tomorrow night. If it fails, then mebbe I haul the box to the MLUG installfest tomorrow. I might be able to avoid an entire day of cleaning house. :)
