Feel free to stop at any time.

I very much doubt that there is a big in initd that you are running into. It
is much more likely that you simply aren't doing it right, in which case a bug
report will accomplish nothing other than wasting even more people's time, in
addition to the time that has been wasted to date.

As I said, it's not a bug. It's simply a lack of knowing what you're doing.

And that's not a bug.

It very likely depends on how you do it. As I have never tried it myself, I
can't really speak to a procedure for accomplishing this task. However, I am
reasonably confident that a new installation will be a much easier job than
trying to copy one disk to another using dd and so on, simply because a new
installation is pretty much fully automated in addition to being a much more
common task.

You have very successfully managed to alienate many of the regular posters to
this mailing list. And despite receiving several of the most severe "text
beatings" that I have ever seen on a mailing list, your behaviour has not yet
changed sufficiently. You continue to alienate more posters on a seemingly
daily basis.

I don't think this was your initial intent when you first signed up for this
mailing list. Accordingly, please stop.
