There is zero ways to make it work. It very likely depends on how you do it. As I have never tried it myself, I can't really speak to a procedure for accomplishing this task. However, I am reasonably confident that a new installation will be a much easier job than trying to copy one disk to another using dd and so on, simply because a new installation is pretty much fully automated in addition to being a much more common task. You have very successfully managed to alienate many of the regular posters to this mailing list. And despite receiving several of the most severe "text beatings" that I have ever seen on a mailing list, your behaviour has not yet changed sufficiently. You continue to alienate more posters on a seemingly daily basis. I don't think this was your initial intent when you first signed up for this mailing list.
