I meant to continue tweaking when I got home, perhaps editing grub.conf etc. But now the screen has gone totally black! If I move the mouse around the mouse pointer is displayed until I stop movement, when it disappears again. Same if I use the keuboard (shift key) then the mouse pointer appears out of the black for a fraction of a second. I guess some screen saver has started, but it should not keep on running when I use the mouse, really.... Is there a key combination that can wake it up from the screen saver blackness???
