Has anyone successfully done that?  I recall reading that it stuffs up
attempting to do that during the install.  Or perhaps it was stuffing up
attempting to use third-party repos during install (e.g. Livna, etc.).

Using FC 4, 5, 6 & 7, plus CentOS 5.  Today, it's FC7.
