AMD's current processors use socket AM2. Additionally, AMD will introduce socket AM2+ processors before the end of the year. Either an AM2 or AM2+ motherboard will provide a longer term upgrade path than a socket 939 motherboard. As far as AM2+ motherboards, I would avoid Biostar's current AM2+ offerings as my understanding is that these motherboards are not true AM2+ motherboards. Just my two cents.
