You don't get the fancy control panel that you get in Windows that will let you do remote copies, but it would not be too hard to set up something like that is I thought I would use it... (Scan an image with sane, and sent it to the printer, as a shell script launched by an icon on the desktop.) I have not tried it for receiving a FAX. It is also susposed to work when connected to a USB port, but I have not tried it. You can download the drivers from Brother, or use the CUPS driver for printing.
