There's only a few places where executables normally go with Fedora's packaging. The vast bulk of them go in /usr/bin # for i in /bin /sbin /usr/bin/ /usr/sbin ; do echo $i ; ls $i | wc -w ; done /bin 105 /sbin 260 /usr/bin/ 2826 /usr/sbin 441 Some go off in funny places down /usr/lib but that's very unusual.
