Has anyone ever made scanning actually work with FC6 or FC7? I have

Hello, Bill
I have an Epson Perfection 2400 Scanner. I have been using it with
Fedora Core 6 ever since it was released. MAY have used it with FC3,
can't remember. I skipped FC4, so I can't comment on that.
In every case, it has, like another poster noted, "Just Worked." For
example, after I did my most recent fresh install of FC6, the scanner
worked perfectly without having to do anything to make it work.

Just remember that scanners will not work if they are plugged into a USB hub. Not certain why, but it acts the same under Windows.

I've not found that to be the case with My Canoscan Lide 30. I regularly hot plugged it between two unpowered hubs to switch between Windows and FC6.

But, YMMV.
