I was happy last Thursday when the usual problems with the new
kernel were solved, almost by the udev update then. But I have a
external hard drive that plugs into a USB port and is part of my backup
system. I tried that Thursday and it failed. It was mounted and it
looked just fine but it didn't work.
Back to today I installed a Update that is 3 days of things and this
morning with the new kernel and new udev and some other updates the USB
hard drive works great and I did a full rsync incremental backup. So
things are good now.
