I don't have your Asus board (I have a couple of machines with Asus boards, but they are older than yours). This may not be relevant, but if I were in your position I would try partitioning with Knoppix or tomsrtbt , and then choose "Custom setup" (not the right phrase) when Anaconda gets round to partitioning.
