hmm a coula updates got lost...
sat i updated the new install-
651 packages! (16 hours)
been testing since sun- no x crashes-
calling it resolved -but cause is a mystery.

thanks to those who shared their time-
i learned from them, and the experience.

I don't interpret text messaging language very well, but I am glad that the parallel or fresh install took care of the scrambling and loss of an X session.

Choke one up for the fresh install vs. an upgrade.
