dvgrab video capturing FireWire and HD SATA

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

* This is in a FC7, full updated.
* As i need FireWire to capture video with Kino, the kernel is from:
  http://www.ezplanetone.com/xwiki/bin/view/KnowledgeBase/BrokenFC7FireWire
* The HD is a SATA SAMSUNG HD160JJ. No RAID is been used. The partitions are ext3.

* When dvgrab is used to start capturing and streaming like this:
  dvgrab --format raw

at /var/log/messages this message appears:

Jul 30 07:41:52 localhost kernel: ata3.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x2 frozen Jul 30 07:41:52 localhost kernel: ata3.00: cmd a0/00:00:00:00:20/00:00:00:00:00/a0 tag 0 cdb 0x0 data 0 Jul 30 07:41:52 localhost kernel: res 40/00:03:00:00:00/00:00:00:00:00/a0 Emask 0x4 (timeout)

Jul 30 07:41:52 localhost kernel: ata3.00: configured for PIO0
Jul 30 07:41:52 localhost kernel: ata3: EH complete

Even though the video capturing seems to work... i wonder if this message is important of not.
Any advise welcomed.
