Also I notice that your mplayer version is MPlayer 1.0rc1-4.1.1 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team where mine is MPlayer 1.0rc1-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team Fedora 7's gcc is at 4.1.2. I know that Mplayer with 4.1.1 should work, but installing it with 4.1.2 should be a better match. Have you tried updating mplayer?
