Re: Kernel Panic with RAID

Thanks Andy and Rick for all your help I now see light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope I have provided enough of the correct information for you.

As suggested by Rick I added to /etc/modprobe.conf

alias scsi_hostadapter aacraid

Then did:

mkinitrd -f -v initrd-2.6.22.img 2.6.22

Then as Andy suggested I did:

If you want to see what modules are in the initrd, you can use this plan

mkdir /tmp/initrd
cp /boot/initrd-blah.img /tmp/initrd
cd /tmp/initrd
gunzip -S .img initrd-blah.img
cpio -i <initrd-blah
ls -l lib

I still get the kernel panic even though I now see the aacraid.ko module is in the initrd
I *believe* this is the correct module.

Here's the panic message and my grub.conf:

root (hd0,0
