why does openoffice require dejavu-lgc-fonts?

It seems the Fedora OOo packages have a dependency on the "dejavu-lgc-fonts" package:

# rpm -q --whatrequires dejavu-lgc-fonts
openoffice.org-core-2.2.0-14.11

Does anyone know why?

I'd prefer not to have multiple versions of the same fonts, and the dejavu-lgc-fonts package is lagging behind a bit:

$ yum list '*deja*'
...
dejavu-lgc-fonts.noarch               2.15-1          installed
Available Packages
dejagnu.noarch                        1:1.4.4-7       fedora
dejavu-fonts.noarch                   2.17-1.fc7      fedora
dejavu-fonts-experimental.noarch      2.17-1.fc7      fedora

Would it make sense to replace the LGC fonts with the standard dejavu package?
