On top of that advice being incorrect, as Aaron noted, it's also
incredibly bad.  You don't disable gpg checks because of on
incorrectly signed package in the official repositories.

Please resist the urge to give advice on topics you do not understand
Karl.  Failing that, you ought to put a disclaimer in your messages so
others know you're not speaking from reasonable experience.

Hopefully others here don't end up making bad choices based on the
crap advice you seem to keep giving out.
