Duplicate rpm won't die

Old gconf-editor rpm won't go away. Tried several removal
procedures and always get the message that

Must set the GCONF_CONFIG_SOURCE environment variable

and the scriplet fails leaving the duplicate in the system. What
should the variable setting be? I could do it manually if I knew
that. The output of a removal session follows:
[root@mcbroom_1 [1] ~]# python dupes-cli_py
