You can see that it, at first, couldn't find an IP for the domain name
(an IPv6 address, I'm guessing by the "AF_INET6" comment), then did (an
IPv4 one).  Then, tried connecting to the same server, using different
ports.  Eventually aborting claiming there was no stream at that
address.

VLC did something similar, though the timeouts were *much* shorter
before it gave up on each one.

I wonder if whether the server is overloaded and Windows media player
waits a bit longer before aborting.  How long does it take for you to
get it to work with the Windows player?

And is it using the same URI?
